Why you’re not losing weight & keeping your results.

For many women, the thought of losing weight can bring up all sorts of thoughts & emotions.

“What if I can’t lose weight.”

“What if I can’t stick to it.”

Your concerns are valid. There is so much conflicting information out there that you just don’t know who or what to believe. All you want to know is what is the best and easiest way to lose weight. But what that ends up being, is choosing dieting methods that you just can’t stick to. Ones that cut out foods, especially the foods that you enjoy, like carbs, chocolate or wine. All the while screaming at you every time you open the fridge, or enter the staff tea room, or go to a conference or go out to lunch with clients.

“I can’t have that…but what the hell, just this once.”

And then you feel like shit afterwards because you “went off plan”. You’ve failed….again. “I’ll start again on Monday”

And so the cycle continues.

Some even start to think, “well I just need to do more exercise then.” So you start exercising, maybe a HIIT class or you start running a few times a week. It seems to work for a while and then your weight loss stalls. So you do more exercise.

It becomes daily. Then it becomes twice daily. Still no results. So you give up. Then what?

For some it’s a case of, “my friend Wendy did shakes and that worked really well for her, I’ll try that.” But it all ends up being too hard. You get more hungrier each day, you can’t stand it any longer. You give up.

Or, you continue with any of the above, you get some good results but the weight just creeps on again once you’ve finished dieting. Bit by bit, month by month, it just comes back.

But here’s what you need to know.

Dieting is temporary, living is the big picture and requires maintenance.

There are sooooo many diets out there, but they are all just methods. Whatever it is, keto, fasting, shakes, paleo, and a lot of them just have fancy names to suck you in because you’ve given up and don’t know what else to do. They all work to a degree, but most people just can’t sustain them long term.

And who would want to?

There is no “best” diet.  Or “best” exercise plan. It’s what you can stick to long term.

So what do you do?

For sustainable weight loss you don’t need to go to extremes to get results and keep them. You can still enjoy all the foods you love and still lose weight.

Exercise is important for longevity of life but you also need to enjoy it. This way you are able to keep your results long into the future.

But nutrition and exercise are just one part of the big picture.

This is why my program has 4 key foundations.

Nutrition

Movement

Mindset

Lifestyle

For you to be able to keep your results for the long term you need to have the mindset of who you want to be now.

Habits and behaviours that serve your goals.

The habits and behaviours you have now are obviously not helping you so something needs to change.

And this is why mindset plays a big role. Your emotions drive a lot of what you do.

Having clarity & tuning in to how you feel will help you to live the lifestyle that you want under your terms, your preferences, your individual likes and dislikes.

You want to create habits that are sustainable that get you results without taking over your life.

At the end of the day, it’s not at all about weight loss.

Weight loss is just a by product of a change of mindset, habits & lifestyle change.
